AI, or to be more specific LLM’s like ChatGPT can be used for education effectively. However, this needs a good understanding of LLM and domain expertise. In other words, if you want to use LLM effectively, you must have a working knowledge of LLM, its capabilities and its problems, but you must know your subject as well – in this case, a good understanding of how the microbiology FRCPath examination works. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, knowing how difficult it is for microbiology trainees to get practice with face-to-face OSPE, I built this custom GPT that will serve as an examiner, using carefully crafted case vignettes and custom GPT instructions. This is now available to the microregistrar.moodlecloud.com<\/a> members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
